Junior Project Manager (m/f/d) Shopify & E-Commerce

About merconic
We are a specialized Shopify agency based in Berlin, working with D2C brands that want to grow digitally and scale internationally. We focus on Shopify setups and relaunches, conversion optimization, internationalization, PIM, tracking, performance marketing, and AI-supported e-commerce processes.
Our team works distributed from Berlin, Italy, Portugal, Pakistan, and India. We combine strategic consulting, design, technology, and marketing – with a pragmatic, collaborative approach and short decision-making processes.
Your responsibilities
- You will assist in the planning and execution of Shopify projects – from new store builds to ongoing optimization.
- You will be the point of contact for our clients, gathering requirements and translating them into clear tasks for our team.
- You will structure tickets, timelines, and priorities, reliably keeping an eye on open items.
- You will coordinate collaboration between clients, UX/UI, development, performance marketing, and external partners.
- You will test new features, store adjustments, and integrations before they go live.
- Depending on the project, you will support Shopify Markets, internationalization, product data, PIM, apps, and automations.
- You will use modern AI tools to make research, documentation, and project workflows more efficient.
- As you gain experience, you will take on your own smaller projects and develop further step by step.
What you bring to the table
- Initial practical experience in project management, e-commerce, a digital agency, or a similar environment.
- A degree or vocational training in business, e -commerce, communications, marketing, media, computer science, or a related field – but your practical strength is what matters most to us.
- A structured, thorough, and self-reliant way of working.
- Enjoyment of client interaction and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and understandably.
- An interest in Shopify, digital business models, and technical contexts.
- Confidence in using digital work tools. Experience with Shopify, Notion, Slack, or Google Workspace is a plus.
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a desire to take on responsibility.
